Our wellbeing retreats recognise that everyone is touched by the challenges of peri and post menopause at some point, and as such, we don't want to exclude anyone! Though currently, we are keeping these retreats as female adults only.
Whether you are peri or post menopausal, or in your early 20s or 30s and want to learn how to support older friends, relatives, colleagues, or prepare for what is in the future, this wellbeing retreat is for you!
Our oestrogen levels are at their optimum at age 35 when they then start to decline. Many women find themselves lost in their late 40s when symptoms are well established and changes are harder to establish and maintain. So there is true value in being aware, educated and empowered to proactively approach perimenopause, rather than waiting for symptoms to hit hard.
The whole event will focus on true holistic wellbeing, including workshops on hot topics such as good sleep hygiene, self-esteem, nutrition for menopause and relationship health during menopause. Activities will include a selection of yoga, SOMA breathwork, Flowdance meditation, yoga nidra (deep yogic meditation), use of essential oils. life coach sessions, sound bath, and other holistic therapies.
There will be down time scheduled in to weekend retreats where you can read, journal, snooze, take a walk in the beautiful grounds, or book in a 121 session with a number of available therapists (additional charges apply).
Arrive as soon as you can after 3pm on Friday afternoon (but don't get stressed - we know life happens!). We will be staying in a beautiful country house, nestled in the tranquil Norfolk broads, until Sunday afternoon. Rooms are double, twin or triple, so grab a friend or embrace the retreat ethos of community and come alone, either way we will achieve clear steps in the direction of wellness for our female community, supporting one another's journey in a safe and supportive environment.
All meals, snacks and drinks provided throughout, and will be wholesome, nutritious, vegetarian dishes. We are not anti-alcohol so there will be some fridge space saved for those who wish for a little tipple, just bring what you would like!
The finer details of our retreats will be confirmed nearer the time, but they will include workshops on issues such as managing sleep disturbance, self-esteem issues, navigating relationships in peri/menopause, discussions on risk/benefits of HRT, introduction to, and experience of complimentary therapies, and experiences such as sound bath, reflexology taster, SOMA breathwork, Flowdance Meditation, yoga nidra and essential oils workshop.

These days were planned for those who feel unable to get away for the whole weekend. Obviously with such limited time, we can only manage to cover so much, but the content can vary.
